D.C. Cherry Blossom Festival 2015

Washington DC Cherry BlossomsThe Cherry Blossom Festival is finally in full swing in Washington, D.C., and it is beautiful. In 1912, Japan gave the United States the cherry trees in order to strengthen the relationship that was forming between the two nations. To commemorate the gift from Japan and to celebrate the beauty they bring to D.C., the Cherry Blossom Festival is held each spring when the flowers are in full bloom. The Festival brings D.C. to life with amazing art exhibits, cultural events, and an exciting parade. The events and the blossoms come together to create a celebration that people come from around the country to experience.

This year, the National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade is on Saturday, April 11, 2015, from 10 AM until noon. The parade will run on Constitution Avenue, from 7th Street to 17th Street. When is the Best Time to Rent an Apartment?

Best Time to Move in DC It is no secret that people are more inclined to move during the summer months. Summer has the allure of warm weather and venturing outside doesn’t require boots or gloves. The best time to rent an apartment is during the off-season, which is in the winter months. This may not be as enticing, but it can be extremely beneficial.

Discounts and Special Incentives

Apartment communities will offer discounted rates or special incentives to generate interest in the off-season. In order to fill vacancies in the winter, many apartment communities will offer a free month of rent or considerably discounted rates. Waiving the application fee, including additional amenities at no extra cost, and offering substantial referral bonuses are other incentives you may be able to take advantage of during the winter months.
