They even host musicians, artists, and local organizations throughout the season.
Bethesda Central Farm Market is right around the corner from Bethesda Place, which is located in downtown Bethesda, on the lot of Bethesda Elementary School. As one of the largest farmers’ markets in the region, they host over 100 vendors and artisan food producers year-round. They are open from early April to late December. This market features table seating, music, local Maryland winery and brewery tastings, kids club activities, chef demos, and more.
Located in the welcoming city of Gaithersburg, Brighton Village is right by two farmers’ markets, the Main Street Farmers’ and Artists’ Market and Fulks Corner Farmers’ Market. The Main Street Farmers’ and Artists’ Market is open every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Artists join farmers with handcrafted items. Located in the Main Street Pavilion at 301 Main Street, they offer a wide variety of fruits, vegetables, jams and jellies, herbs, flowers, potted plants, baked goods, dog treats, meat, eggs, and honey. Located at the corner of Route 355 and Fulks Corner Avenue in Olde Towne, the Fulks Corner Farmers’ Market is open on Thursdays from early May to late November. Although there are no crafters at this particular market, they also offer a wide assortment of fruits, vegetables, meats, baked goods, herbs, flowers, plants, jams and jellies, honey, cider, and many more items at affordable prices.
Near both Congressional Towers and Rollins Park in Rockville, Maryland is Shady Grove Farmers’ Market. They are open Wednesdays from early May to late October. They are nationally recognized as one of the 100 Best Markets in America by the Daily Meal, as they feature weekly farmers, food trucks, artisans, and wineries.
